Re: backrest ?
It looks too low. My wife will flip off. The shad looks great if they make one for a 300. There is a really bad joke in here somewhere. I would just bite the ugly pill and add a top box. I have giant 55 litre Givi top box and it does not look that ugly. Says the colour blind guy who dresses strange...

Re: 140/70-13 Tyres
I had Michelin Pilot Power Pure SC tires on my previous scooter, I like the idea of dual compound tires. Michelin doesn't make those in 140/70-13, but I can see them in 150/70-13 and 130/70-13. Anyone want to speak up on the suitability of using almost the right size? I have the Michelin City Grip ...

Re: Considering a Forza 300
My Forza doesn't automatically close the shutter when I lock the steering. Neither does mine but mine is Canadian and a rebuilt insurance wreck also. Has anyone had their key wear out too much to operate the shutter? Mine seems to take a lot of force to open and close it. The Chinese replacement ke...

Re: Considering a Forza 300
Doh, found out it hides the keyhole Does anyone actually use the shutter? I am more concerned about not getting it open than I am about bike theft. Our ICBC insurance rates are so high in British Columbia, Canada that I never insure scooters for theft. I ordered a spare key from China and had to fi...

Re: My Bike is "Rocking" me...
The mechanic also notified that the old tire kind of moved up- and down a bit while spinning, and now it doesn't. Ah, common problem with those trapezoidal tyres - the round ones are always better :) - glad you got it sorted. The egg shaped tires on my sister's jeep were not great either. Round is ...

Re: Scooter Skirts
Aye, I have my departed English mother's Mackay skirt. It is a little short and I am a little fat. So can a Canadian guy wear a women's Scottish skirt while riding a Japanese scooter made in Thailand?
And what do I wear with it? (It's cold)

Re: Large Honda Windshield
I have the large Honda windscreen. It gets the air off my chest and I like it better that way. I am only 5'6" so that matters a lot for windscreens. I find that I do not get enough air on my helmet for the ventilation to work properly when I ride in the rain. It fogs up and rain goes in my vent...

Re: 140/70-13 Tyres
So, which tyres do people rate? I'm coming up to 5k miles on my rear and looking at a replacement. I went with a Michelin City Grip 150/70-13 on my 2014 Forza. I have about 3000 km on the tire so far. The Forza is currently in winter storage but it was working very well before that. Rides OK in the...

Re: 73 MPG !
Vancouver to Newfoundland and back on a CB125 don't know if any of our european members would understand how daunting that trip would have been met a guy on a Honda 90 way back then crossing the Rockies he had travelled across Saskatchewan on his way to the west coast toughest part of the trip was ...

Re: 73 MPG !
Guess my scoot is telling me to lose weight. I too need to lose weight but I also got 92.1 mpg imperial over a long 140 km stretch of mountain highways. 76.7 mpg US gal does not sound as impressive as the Canadian 92.1 mpg. Like others have said, the mpg is more dependant on windspeed than anything...

A 16 was too loose and my 17 would not fit but the Lordco store 17 did fit. I took a grinder to my 17.2 and made it a 17.davenowherejones wrote:What size hex driver do I need to remove the front axle of a Honda Forza 300?

Re: Oil change light ?
Well I got to 12946 km and the oil change light never came on. I rode a whole bunch of km's in the rain before the insurance ran out. The Forza seems to have no problems handling the rain even with my mix of tires. Original ScootSmart on the front and a new Michelin CityGrip on the back. I just chec...

Cig lighter 12v socket for battery tender
Can the Forza 300 12v socket be used to hook up a battery tender? Is it always live or just when the key is turned?

Oil change light ?
My 2014 Honda Forza has about 12, 340 km on it now. When should I expect the oil change light to come on? I thought it would come on at 12,000 km but maybe it is 12,600 km or is it 12,000 km from whenever it was last reset? The bike is going into storage on Monday. The insurance runs out and I still...

Re: Headlite bulb failure, removal and replacement
My Forza was bought as a wreck. I have one 35/35 HS1 bulb and one 60/55 9003? bulb. Nothing seems to be melting. I have put 10,000 km on the Forza in 3 months. The charging system seems to be fine. I have no idea how the headlights work as I almost never ride in the dark.

Forza rear tire get hot
Hi, My Forza 300 ScootSmart rear tire used to get quite hot. Almost burn your hand hot. Is this normal? I do a lot of high speed highway canyon riding. 80-120 kmph in the twisties. The Dunlop lasted about 8000 km and then I got a few carpenter's staples in the centre of the tread. I was up about 500...

Re: Fork oil checking
it did not suddenly make this into a dual sport on the bumps. With 3.7 inches of front suspension travel it never will be. You need to learn to ride around the bumps. Aw but my DR650 just goes over them. Some of the bumps sneak up on me sometimes. Is it really only 3.7 inches? It is a good job I ha...
