Re: Accessories in Thailand - rear shocks

You only have to remove the two parts of the grab rail - the plastic and the metal. Once you do that, you can raise the back end of the storage box enough to get the shock in and out.

Accessories in Thailand - soft luggage

I have been using sets of these Eclipse bags on various bikes for twenty years. Great deal at $70 USD, and fit easily in a suitcase. http://www.eclipseluggage.com/luggage/105.html Like all soft sidebags, they are designed to hang down from the seat. With the grab rail on the PCX, you will have to do...

Accessories in Thailand - mirrors

I wanted some extra vision on the side, but did not want to add mirror extensions. Found these on Amazon in the USA - $7 USD. Not great, but better than stock. http://www.amazon.com/BikeMaster-Eyeball-Mirror--1-600209/dp/B000WK9BW6/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1434097371&sr=...

Accessories in Thailand - luggage rack

Honda only markets one luggage rack in Thailand. It is a plastic plate designed for locally made top boxes. It will fit on the 2015 PCX, but was made for the older models - it comes with the angled rubber washers to cover the holes that you had to drill in the grab rail. There are lots of aftermarke...

Accessories in Thailand - seat cover

This is a mesh seat cover for scooters that is sold at many small shops. There are different sizes - the PCX takes a 2XL. Cost was $7 USD. It is anchored with 3 velcro straps under the seat.

The mesh is spiral wound, and will allow airflow under your butt. Great in a hot climate.

This is a windscreen made by H2C, and marketed through Honda dealers. Part number is APK3667100ZA. It is available in clear, smoke, and black (mine is smoke). Cost was $29 USD. Accessories in Thailand - rear shocks

Installed some YSS shocks - G-Euro offset, XXL rated.

Cost in Thailand - $110 USD

Easy enough to install, EXCEPT that the storage box has to be raised a couple inches to get the top of the shock off or on the bolt. That involves removing the two parts of the grab rail.

Re: Crampbuster

I have them on my larger bikes, and have put one on my PCX. It is not very useful when running around town, so I roll it around out of the way. I found that there is a tendency to rest your hand on it when starting, idling, and low speed riding - all of which are not good on a twist-and-go. It can g...

Seven dollars and twenty cents

Just took the PCX to the dealer for the 1000 kilometer service.

Drove in, waited an hour, drove out. Did not get the valves checked - would have had to leave the bike and arrange rides.

Total cost for the oil change and service - $7.20 USD

Only in Thailand

Re: Help with storage?

A3 paper is 16.5 inches long, and cases for that size paper run about 18.5 inches in length. That is not much larger than the 16 inch wide soft briefcase that I carry frequently. Your case has a shoulder strap. Wearing the case at your side will let it flop around in the wind. Shorten the strap, the...

Re: Hi from Thailand!

Thanks for the info. I am in the US right now - filing taxes and avoiding Songkran. I will do some checking with MSIG when I return. A question for you - for how many years of ownership will they sell this insurance to you? Most companies will only sell you first class insurance for the first five y...

Re: User manual for pcx 2015 in english

A friend in the USA just checked with his local dealer about getting a hard copy manual in English. No problem at all - if you want to pay $38 to order the rider manual from Honda (not the service manual) He did get two digital manuals that he sent me. One is the manual available from the Australian...

Sid - just bought the same bike in Chiang Mai last week. They had a promotional price here on the new color.

Please post if your dealer can get an English manual.
