After diagnosing my check engine light problem to needing a new battery, I'm probably getting the OEM replacement GTZ8V 7ah 120 cca apx $55 vs the GSX7L 6ah 85 cca $35. The latter is probably for the rukus. Any feedback appreciated if other options.

This is expensive however I always like to have much more reserve capacity and cranking amps (210CCA) than what is called for. Going on two years now, it is 60% lighter/40 % smaller than the OEM battery. Twice the strength. Comes with foam blocks to make the fit perfect.

I once bought a cheap replacement for the recommended one. It didn't last very long, so I ended up going back to the recommended one. It is still going. I think the cheap replacement had less CCA.

Thanks, but Lithium has too many possible fire problems to rest my fears of using one in a car, boat, or 150.

That's the 6ah one I mentioned - thanks for the feedback. I realize that it was not as strong as the 7ah OEM or the lithium one another suggested, but for the lower price I felt that i could replace it every 2 years and be ahead of the game a few times over.

I put a lithium in my Ducati 996 and it caught fire, lost the bike, even my tears wouldn't put it out.
