Here is mine, they have seen a bit of weather though :3 don't think they are made to be used like this lol.

The 2016 doesn't have any key. I attached the smart key to an ID strap and always wear it around my neck when riding.

well this thread will have an expiration date. Mine floats on a Nautica cork. Anything that dosent scratch the console is good.

Mount a 3 sq in patch of near invisible 3 m paint film under the key area, then the keys never scratch the bike. I use it under the helmet hook also.
