Does "rabbit take off" save rollers?

I seem to have read here last year this comment from one of the experts; that taking off from a stop and grabbing throttle quickly for 0-10 mph to get the variator/ sliders /weights moving saves the sliders long run… Or maybe it helps the clutch pads in the rear? I can't remember…
Does anybody have a link for any conversations on this here, or on any forum?

Gentle acceleration can cause clutch glazing.
In use, rollers don't roll, they slide.
They only roll when they're not fitted.

Clutch (pads) is correct ,Gentle application of the pads will have a tendency to glaze the pads such as in a slow accel.

Yep, if you don't give a Burgman400 the beans from a stand still.....you'll soon be lurching through city traffic. It's not pleasant....the glazed clutch pads.

If you don’t give it the beans from the off you probably aren’t going to get anywhere fast.
