first time changing oil myself

So... it doesn't look that difficult but I'm stuck on the actual oil to get

In the manual (2014 Forza) it says SAE10W-30 or Pro Honda HP4M (and a couple of others)... but if I search for Honda HP4M the label says it's SAE10W-40

What is a decent brand that I could pick up at Walmart or AutoZone or anywhere local? Anything a first-timer should watch out for when changing the oil (the dealer has previously done it)

Sorry if this has been asked before but the search box rejects "oil" as a search term.

Any 10W30 oil will work.

10W40 is OK - that's what Honda used to recommend before 10W30 was commonly available.

Best to search using Google rather than the search box on the forum.

Fill it up less than you think, then syringe in what you need to get to the right level. Getting oil out when you overfill it is a PITA.

Caught ya! :D Try again(?)

Good luck oliver! Oil change most important (blood of motors). Glad you're choosing to do....."it Right!" ;) Sorry our search bar came up empty. Maybe add a few words in search bar? i.e. "Doing Oil change on Forza" or similar? And, check Forza General in the drop down box, then click submit.
Or....Google
Or....Wait for more responses

"Happy Bird Day!" :P

Heads up to verify if your Forza oil level should be measured on a dip stick that is inserted but left unscrewed - or screwed in all the way. The PCX oil level is measured by just inserting the dip stick to the threads, but not screwing it in. It makes a surprising difference in the oil level.

Also verify if the Forza's measurement is with cold oil or hot (will be expanded a bit).

Yep - the manual does say if the engine is cold to idle it for 3 to 5 minutes then stop and wait another 3 minutes before checking.
Also says to insert dipstick until it seats but don't screw it in... so I should be good to go on that part

On a pcx put in 20-22 oz and then starting checking w/ dipstick, putting in 1 oz at a time, until you are mid-hashes.....
