My buddy who got me into scooters told me about the “Ferry to Ferry” ride in Western Washington. He did it last year and had a blast. He invited me to go this year, I guess it’s today sometime. I would’ve liked to go because I just got my new pcx, but I’m on back shift and working 12 hour shifts! I actually need to get to bed because I gotta work today.
Just wondering if anyone on here going?

it sounds interesting. Can you tell us anything about it? My daughter lives out there and we keep hoping that we will someday be fortunate enough to join her and her family. If/when we do move out there you can bet that our scooters will be coming with us.

I ran into my buddy two days ago just riding home. He said the ferry to ferry ride was F’g huge this year! I couldn’t find much info or pics this year (6th annual). He said there’s a Facebook page. So if you’re in the PNW or just interested and have a fb account that’s where to go to check it out. I have an account but I don’t don’t post or get on it at all. I thought because it’s so big there would’ve been a few active members on here. My friend had a blast, so hopefully I can make it next year and post my experience and some pics.

I went to the Red Pepper Pizza run yesterday in the Duvall, Lake Stevens, Monroe area. About 25 riders is my guess. My first group ride.

My daughter complains because I WON'T move out there to be close to her. Some how she doesn't seem to understand that it costs a lot of money just to relocate, and the Pacific Northwest is not a cheap place to live. I bet it costs twice as much there to do what I do here. Pictures are the cheapest way to see a place these days.
I am retired and on a fixed income. I also have medical problems that would require that I fly out there in advance to try to find doctors who would treat me. You don't just pack up the car and drive across country without planning these days, unless you are young and single. Life was easier when we were young.

Prices in Seattle have dropped by 50 to 70k for houses lately and condos listings are stacking up. There are only so many tech workers to go around who can afford a Seattle home. Amazon is opening a 2nd HQ somewhere else. Thats the next housing boom right there. I am more of the thinking of " whereever you go there you are" mentality. A region will not make or break your happiness DNA.

My daughter seems to think that it will. It is not so much that I won't move as I can't move. She actually threw it in our faces that we didn't attend all of the sport events her kids were involved in. Reality says we can't. She says we won't. I think the problem is beyond a real solution. The distance between us is almost 3,000 miles.
