I wonder if the sliders 'overturning' is really that common.

Interesting concept. However, if those stabilizing side "wings" broke off it may create problems ...I guess it depends on how well they have tested them in the factory.

Sliders overturning? Hmm, Never heard of that before though.

I'll have to get a set and try them out.

I've been using them on my 2011 125, and the work very good.
Smooth torque throughout the powerband. I started with 13 great, then 11 gr. Then I mixed them, but I like the 11 gram the best, but they're all better than stock.

I installed an NCY variator and drive face today with NCY 12 gr NCY rollers. Not a huge difference from the Techpulleys so far, but I'll wait and see if there's any difference once broken in.

Okay, I've come to a conclusion. 13gr TechPulleys with a stock variator on a 2011 125 is definitely bang for the buck upgrade. It is very close to the NCY variator/drive face/13 gr roller combo that is advised over and over on this forum.

If you are wanting more performance, try sliders first, then go forward after that.

Im reserved with the coating applied on to the ncy variator and sliders ability to slide smoothly. I've head the newer daytona version variator with the same teflon coating and when used with sliders it melted teflon and cooled it in to the ridges on the ramp where sliders were stoping. Quick sandpaper work on the ramps fixed the issue and by removing the coating it actually improved the performance of the variator drastically. I think that any coating acts like a drag when variator and coating gets hot and sticky.
