Nice new PCX

Hi all, I traded in a very tired old Yamaha BWS50 and came away with a brand new PCX instead.
It was delivered to my house, but the next day I was off on a biking trip to the Alps on one of my bigger bikes. Anyway, on my return, the PCX was swiftly insured and taken for a test run.
What can I say, it was smooth, frugal, and incredibly quiet after riding a two stroke scooter to and from work for the past few years. I love it!

I added a top box rack sourced from ebay for carrying work stuff, and since added a low givi screen for added wind protection. It now has the look of a mini-burgman. :)

Looks good!

Any particular brand on the top box rack? Was it easy to install?

You'll appreciate the ease of use and economy with it. 8)

Bigbear, it's not the very latest model with abs and all digital clocks, it's the last of the 2014-2017 models that were being sold off cheaply before the new stock came in.
Pcx150rider, not sure about the make of the top box rack, it came loose in a jiffy bag. It's simple to fit though, just remove the grabrail cover from the rear and the fixing points are underneath.

So, is it a 2018 or a 2017? I really don't think there was much difference between those two years, aside from color choices. I understand that the 2019 version has all the new changes. For aftermarket parts availability, I would go for the older rather than the newer model year.

The new 2018 model will be available in the UK any time now. Mine is the last of the 2014-2017 models, but registered this year on a 2018 plate.
Here in the UK the plate displays the year of registration, so you can tell at a glance how old a vehicle is.

I called into my local [UK] Dealership Thursday - June 28 - and was pleased to see a row of the new model PCX. I looked at the first in the row - Matte Grey, ABS, looked fine, but not my favourite. Next was a White - ABS, all good, third was a Black, ABS and, as with the others, clearly priced at £2,899, the price unchanged from previously. The fourth was a Red .... no ABS but still priced at £2899, the fifth the same. The point I'm making is that those latter two were the 'old' model - and I was so interested in looking for the ABS logo that I hadn't noticed the most obvious feature - the headlights.

No doubt the ticket price would be very negotiable on the 2017/18 models.

Old only in terms of registration not age of vehicle.
