I ride a lot of back roads also and have no complaints with my Michelin City Grips.

Recomend you upgrade your shocks though, and beef up the contents of your front forks.

Silver? Your PCX is silver? I don't think I have seen a silver one. How about a picture. :-)

Many of us have upgraded our shocks first, and eventually the tires. I like Michelin City Grips on my bikes as well, and they do make a difference. However, riding on gravel is not easy no matter the tire. Balance is a problem when you are slipping and sliding.That is the problem any two wheeled vehicle will have on gravel or grated bridges.

i have yet to see PCX tires with treads designed for gravel. Almost all PCX tires are street tires.

@Mel

The 2018 has a silver model, but the OP has a 2016..so..

"Seal Silver Metallic" has been a UK colour option for the PCX since launch in 2010.
Looked like a rather drab grey.

The new ABS model looks to be a lighter shade.

Do they soften at about 3,000 miles? Mine don't seem as bad - but maybe I'm just used to the very, very basic shocks - and I probably don't inflate teh tyres as often as I should. I thought that moving from a Honda Vision (1 front shock) to a PCX would make all the difference. It made no difference. One thing this bike wasn't built for was low-tax, austerity-driven Western economies with declining infrastructure imo.

After I changed the shocks on my bike, riding was much more comfortable. After 8 back surgeries (and another procedure coming up shortly) any improvement is welcome. Changing the seat to an aftermarket one helped as well, and the last item added really helped me. I purchased a 'waffle' style gel seat cushion and attached it with a ROK strap. I hardly feel the bumps now.

I love the silver color on those bikes in the pictures. They look nice. I have to wonder about their visibility in traffic though. I think my Burgman 400 was a silver-gray.
