How to Cross the Street in Vietnam

Post by PCX150Rider »

I'm not so sure that this would work in the Big Apple or the Windy City or Seattle but I've got to hand it to this lady for having a zest for life, fun, and adventure in Vietnam. ;)

Basically follow these simple rules crossing in Saigon, Hanoi, and other heavy traffic areas: :geek:

Lesson 1 - Walk Slow
Lesson 2 - Don't make any sudden moves or stop
Lesson 3 - Be confident

The traffic should flow around you like a lazy current in a river. :o

Tried hard to see a PCX but just couldn't spot one. . .maybe you can. :D

And with no further adieu here she is and thanks be to her favorite God. o_O

JayWalk... to cross a street in a place or in a way that is against traffic regulations.

She dumb, let me try that in Chicago. Only because no texting or talking on the phone. In Las Vegas she'd be run over, dragged a few blocks, arrested, ticketed and then bleed out at county.

AWESOME!

A short mini skirt and heels would help.. Maybe not over there, but in the States brakes would screech. ???

I was looking for a vid about cats in traffic but when I saw this I was compelled to post it. Words of wisdom indeed. Somehow I think this guy has been to the "Mountain Top". ;)

BTW it looks like a Zuma 125 to me. 8)

Frankly, I don't see how the suspension on that bike can handle all of that weight. I tip my hat to that guy but is it good for the animals? Really, they have companionship but they don't have any room to stretch their legs and run.

Suspension? Well if you guess at the animal weight it's probably less than 80 lbs. A human passenger would weigh more. He's not exactly a heavyweight himself and is probably just glad to get 3 squares a day. The gear and stuff may put it over 100 lbs. but that much more? Except for wind resistance due to the surface area I think he does OK. When you see what people around the world haul with scooters it seems like his load would be quite doable. Main thing is he's a happy camper and at the end of the day what more is there? He don't care too much for money. . .. ;)

I imagine he let's them out when it's appropriate. It sure beats being stuck in a shelter or pet store cage. The cat in the upper cage didn't look like it wanted to bolt when he went to pet it. The dog just kind of looked like "it's another day at the salt mine but I'll get through. . .things could be worse". I'd say he takes good care of them and the presenter asked him about that. :D

At the end of the news clip video the presenter mentioned how that guy traveled over 20,000 miles over 12 months riding around and going back and forth to GA from South FL 4 times. Maybe you'll see him some time. For that matter maybe Easy Rider will too! ;) 8)

Well if he is riding on the Georgia freeways he probably has to ride on the shoulder because the big semi trucks would run right over him and keep going.

When I get on the freeway that goes all the way around Atlanta ("The Perimeter"...aka I-285) it is loaded with semi trucks because they are not allowed to go through the city if their destination is not Downtown. They seem to think that the 285 on the sign (I-285) must be the speed limit. You are taking your life in your hands if you stay on the outside lanes with those guys! Once morning comes all of the trucks that stopped outside of the city over night try to make up for lost time.

I can't imagine that guy on a little Zuma, with all of his animals, going 50 mph on our freeways. If he put 20,000 miles on his bike going back and forth between Georgia and Florida, I wonder what route he went in order not to become part of the highway!

I would imagine he does take the less traveled roads. I've been in Atlanta and some surrounding areas and know exactly what you mean about those semi tractor trailers. They like to get right on your bumper too going down hills so all you can see in your rear view mirror is "Peterbuilt" or "Kenworth" and a huge radiator. . .maybe a flag. . .and the like. 8)

BTW if you get a chance visit the Coke Museum. :D

Sorry. . .I digress sometimes. 8)
