My town hires a company to sweep the streets.
In the winter he can be seen sweeping and spraying a 4' wide swath of water on streets which have been below freezing for several days.

Three days ago it happened again while I was riding my scooter. He turned onto my street in front of me - sweeping and spraying.
I pulled along side of his rig at a stop light and ....we had a chat.

Called the city streets dept. and complained to the answering machine.

Dealing with bureaucracies is like taking a trip to the Moon. . .it's not quite what you may have expected.

But hey, that is what politics is about. Hire a crew. Give them directions. Don't give them any rules for exceptions. Turn them loose.
