I thought about a goat. A friend of ours has one. Unfortunately there are plants growing in my back yard that are poison to goats, so that is out of the question too. Too bad. I have plenty of yard.

A) goats can be incredibly destructive to non grass items such as climbing on cars with pointy hooves and eating the windshield wipers and, B) spring has seriously gone into hiding here. I am normally riding most days by February. :(

Have we as a species really become that detached in some places where we have to resort to "Goat Yoga"?

Time to start the "Back to the Land Movement" again for the sake of humanity. ;) :D 8)

And yes the weather this year has not exactly been conducive to "year 'round riding". 8)

Today the weather is really nice, but the pollen is extreme. Pollen count today: 3217. Yesterday it was over 5,000. The cars have this yellow coating on them and the road has a film like fine sand. I am probably going to ride today anyway, watery eyes and all.

I got on the PCX for maybe 7 or 8 miles today. Sunny but cool and windy. . .quite windy. It seems like it's windy almost all the time now. The PCX can slice through it pretty good though. 8)

Dandelions and daffodils all over the place pushing to the surface. . .no visible pollen though. . .but it is out there. :?

From what you describe Mel it reminds me of when Mt. St. Helens erupted and the volcanic ash and spew moved eastward from the west coast leaving a layer of dust in it's path everywhere.

When this stuff hits it does no good to wash your car, but the car wash service is quite busy anyway. No 'snob' would drive around here with a dirty car...so they will be back tomorrow as well. Remember when you were young and would write "wash me" on someone's dirty car? Well, pick your car. There are enough dirty ones to go around.

One of our bikes is in our basement, and it has pollen on it. You can ride, but you can't hide! :-)

Scott, in your case, all I can say is ugh! It is 81°F here right now.

Mel, it's ok. Normal highs are 13C or around 55F but it's been that warm in February the last few years. Bound to have a bad one occasionally!
