Here's the deal, I've got a resort reserved for the nights of October 4 and 5. BlueGreen Laurel Crest, in Pigeon Forge, TN. (google it up for views and such)

• Take country highways
• scoot down there on the 3rd, stay in a hotel about halfway
• Scoot the rest of the way
• Stay in the resort on the 4th. Resort room has a kitchen, laundry, queen bed (me) and hide-a-bed. (you) Unless you bribe me with something to take the hide-a-bed. Resort has pool, hot tub, etc. (google it to see)
• Hit some sweet mountain roads and do some hiking on the 5th
• Stay the night of the 5th
• Scoot home on the 6th and 7th. Get a hotel halfway.
• The resort stay is on me. Hotel nights are on my travel partner. We'll each get our own meals. Stop to stretch legs every hour or whatever.
• Someone from southern WI, northeast IL, northwest IN would be a good match. If not, but you still want to get in on the resort part in Pigeon Forge, we can talk by PM or phone.

It's far enough out to plan ahead and get the vacation at work.

Thought it might be fun to have a mini-epic with a pair of PCX's. Two scoots, so we can get each others' back if needed.

Your trip sounds like it would be great, and your offer to cover rooming very generous. I can't pull it off from MA, but it certainly would be epic. I hope someone takes you up on your offer of organizing a great trip, and I wish you fair weather.
