had to take of fuel top to get it running again i filled it to the very top of tank like a dummy

I'm still getting used to filling up my PCX. The fuel gauge seems quite accurate. It's a visual reach to see that filler bar down in the neck so I can see how overfilling it can happen if you are in a hurry.

Check vent /cap for plugs /restriction.
