NOJ Quiet Rider- cut the wind buffeting

I recently bought the NOJ quiet Rider helmet add on. It's made to block the wind noise that is generated at the bottom of the windshield. At the moment I only have the stock windshield with a little deflector and as a result I get a lot of noise at the bottom of my helmet. This add on attaches to the bottom of the helmet, covering that big opening. Riding at 60mph, is much more quiet and comfortable. A good helmet helps too, I have a Shoei helmet that is quieter than the entry level ~$100 ones.
I got the NOJ Quiet Rider Delux at ebay for $39, not bad. I also use Musician Earplugs that quiet down the noise by 19 decibels or so and are comfortable.

Smart idea! That looks like it would be really helpful in cold weather, too, as well as doing its noise-reduction job. Thanks for posting this.

Hey that looks like something that could be fitted to all helmets very easily. You should develop that and sell as an aftermarket solution.

Schuberth uses spoilers and air flow disruption on the visor to assist with noise and movement at higher speeds.

I bought a HJC CS-R2/CS-R3 Helmet Chin Curtain for cold weather riding but haven't event tried it yet. Hmm, wonder if it'd help for noise somewhat too.
