How Many Watts is the PCX 150 Charging System? Over 300?

I may elect to put some auxiliary lights on my PCX when I get it this year and had difficulty trying to find how many Watts the PCX 150 charging system is good for. If it's less than 300 Watts then I've got to use 35W bulbs but if it's more than that I could use 55W bulbs for the particular brand I'm looking at. . .SAENG/TA Night-Cutters. I know a lot of scooters run with 35W bulbs. :?

I don't have the manual for the LED, but the OWL is around 330W and having to run all old fashioned lights.

I run two 10 watt LED auxillary lights. You can find them on Amazon for $26 a pair. No need to run old school incandescent.

I have a 2013 model which does not have LED lights. I added some auxiliary LED lights as well as two LED flood lights that are hooked directly to the battery through a switch. They don't pull that much current under normal driving conditions, since the flood lights are only on when I choose to turn them on, and I use the auxiliary LED lights when I ride just so that others can see me. I use the flood lights at night so that I can see better.

Maybe LEDs would be the way to go with the lower power draw on the system. It seems to be the new trend. . .

You can install an H4 bulbs of 55 W, but it depends on where you live. I did it on my old pcx in thailand, but the bulb was too hot and melted onto the dish.

At this point I'm leaning more towards LEDs based on what I'm hearing/reading. That's a too bad your H4 55W melted the reflector.

Here is a front picture of my bike. Notice two little LED lights under the main headlights, and the two LED spot lights , one on each side of the front wheel. Those are controlled by the switch on my handlebars. The little LED lights under the main headlights are now spliced into the main lights so that they come on when the bike is started. I also have some small strobe lights attached that you can barely see during the day, but are great at night. Hopefully this picture will give you some ideas.

Are there any LED replacement headlight bulbs that anyone has successfully used on the 2013 150? That won't melt anything! I would like to do that, and install floods of some type like Mels, and the lower draw all around would be nice.

Hey Mel, really nice looking set-up on your PCX. Thanks for the suggestions on the LEDs. 8)

Was finally able to ride the scooter yesterday and today. . .temps in the 50's range and snow melting quickly. . .but not quickly enough for me.

Had to give the KLR battery a quick charge before firing it up. The Bandit started promptly (new battery last year). . .not riding them until the roads are salt free and dry again though. Just running the engines every now and then and using the scooter for daily errands. Got to give that a wash later this week.

This add of LED lights to the front is really a simple install. The reflectors come off and the lights bolt on, hook the wires to a good ignition triggered source under the front dash area. I chose the floods for daytime visibility.

The bike charging system will take adding front and rear lights fine. In the back, I added a VOLOLIGHTS plate frame that triggers strobes when braking.

Good idea installing those LEDs down low on the forks. Look's like Mel has the same ones. It not only lights up the path better but it creates a taller image that would stand out more in traffic. An oncoming vehicle may take a second look wondering "What's that?" instead of just seeing lights. :?
