Another year gone by. Will you be feasting on the Big Bird?
Not I. This year it shall be smoked pork chops, scallop potatoes, sweet potatoes and an undecided veggie. Apple turnover/ice cream for laters dessert.
Of course, all this will begin with rum n cokes whilst others indulge in fashionable wine. Merlot to be exact.
I wish You All a Joyful Day filled with Drink, Food, Sweets, Love, Health and FUN!
(No riding, No driving. Chill. Let the Sober drive Dearies) xox

As a prequel for turkey day I thought I would take my little PCX out to Starbucks. It loves running around and showing off its pretty fall color...red! :-)

What's this I see (twice)? homie deep frying Big Bird Scary Sizzling Hot stuff right there! Where's your protective bodysuit?
No kidding, That took nerve, and I'll bet a few beers too, to dip that bad boy. I bet your wife had her eyes covered but peeped through them fingers just the same, mumbling...Be Careful, Dip Slowly! Dip S l o w l y !!
Ya done good! You have Now been elected the deep fryer for all time
So, How was it????
I WOULD LOVE ME A TASTE OF THAT! I've been begging my niece's husband to cook the family bird this way for several years now. Not happened yet. I hear it's the Best Tasting, and Fastest way to Cook a Turkey. I'm betting it is. Crispy skin, tender juicy inside. YUM!

That was my first fried turkey and I will never do it the old way again. The bird was intentionally void of any seasoning, just the peanut oil at 375 degrees. All done in 35 minutes, 180 degrees inside the meat. Pulls out golden brown and was sooooo tender. Even after two days left over white meat was still tender... NOT DRY, AMAZING!
