Not like the city had anything to do with it, but congratulations anyway. Your drought was far worse than ours.

Do that for 108 years and Cub fans will feel your pain. You have to admit that was a GREAT effort from Cleveland but it was meant to be that Cubs FINALLY win

You couldn't tell the fans they had nothing to do with it Lots of superstition, prayer and good old fashion fan support... for 108 years. You would think Jesus Christ showed up in the clouds last night. You have to love the Cub fans.

ROUNDERS... old English game that never became a seriously competitive sport, although it is probably an ancestor of baseball. In 1889 the National Rounders Association of Liverpool and the Scottish Rounders Association were formed. A National Rounders Association was founded in 1943.
It's true you people invented the games, then we got rid of all the pansy aspects and make it into a real sport

Cricket explained
You have two sides, one out in the field and one in. Each man that's in the side that's in goes out,
and when he's out he comes in and the next man goes in until he's out. When they are all out,
the side that's out comes in and the side thats been in goes out and tries to get those coming in,
out. Sometimes you get men still in and not out.
When a man goes out to go in, the men who are out try to get him out, and when he is out he goes
in and the next man in goes out and goes in. There are two men called umpires who stay all out all
the time and they decide when the men who are in are out. When both sides have been in and all
the men have been out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including
those who are not out, that is the end of the game!
