Today I acquired a 2015 White PCX150
Differences I see compared to my 2012 PCX150 is led lights, no hump (yay), bigger console that easily fits my 5" phone (unlike the 2012s tight fit) and has a 12v socket for charging.
It's pretty fresh with only 641kms and cost me $2600 Australian Dollars (unregistered).
It definitely feels slower than my 2012 that I got with 900kms and have added another 400 and recently did the first oil change and valve adjustment.
Hopefully it's just tight and will be better after some more riding, oil change and valve adjustment.
Anyways it's a sad time and I think red must go back on the market for some lucky punter as the rego is due in 3 weeks and I'd rather sell before then.
Cheers Mitch

Wow Mitch, where do you get all these great deals?!
My favourite things about the 2015+ are the LED lights, charge port, seat mechanism, but mainly the bigger fuel tank.
The LED model is supposed to accelerate faster due to having 15g rollers compared to 18g. I'm not sure about top speed?
Anyhow, you need to get in touch with me so we can go scooting together sometime. It sucks not having scooter buddies...
Gav.

Gumtree Gav

just spot it and harass and bombard the seller with low offers until they give in. He had it on for $3k which still would have been a considerable deal. I'd like to keep both as I'm attached to Red now but 2 x regod at $480 a year each will kill me. Will get out tomorrow and drag race the wife on the red one and see if it's just my mind playing tricks but the 2015 white definitely feels slower, has a flat spot between 30 and 60km/h. Hasn't been used in 3months so maybe stale fuel but I doubt it.
My top speed In absolute stock form on my 2012 confirmed by GPS was 106km/h on a short run on the pacific motorway last week. Will report back on the 2015.
Will shoot you a text sometime for a ride but generally the scoot is just used to run errands and for quoting and I got my 250cc 2stroke custom Suzuki GT250 for when I want to get out for a proper ride
Cheers
Mitch

You are not imagining the slower LED PCX. There is ONE tooth less in the gearing that slows all models after 2014. Never race an older PCX with your new bikes unless you have a variator kit. YOU WILL LOSE

The elder whisperer'ers would explain in detail and there are archives in here when this was first noticed back in late 2014.

The new PCX is even smaller in displacement 149cc compared to the old 153cc.

Can someone second this claim please, is this true? Have the 2016/17's PCX150's scaled back to 149cm? Look here if you have a 16....
early 2015 LED PCX150 models where 153cm

This is from my white 2015. So it is 153 or they are using the same casing since changing the bore/stroke

We're measuring cubic capacity here, not length

Let me see if I got this right: you bought a scooter, put 400km on it and now you are selling it? A 2012? Used? I take it you didn't have this machine for more than a couple of weeks?

Had it for a month, found a 3 year newer model for a damn good price (in Australian prices) and couldn't refuse. Can't afford to keep both, should be able to sell the 2012 for more than I paid
One Yuminashi 2016 v2 varistor kit coming up I guess

So where did you get the 149cm information? Lawn mower engines for a while were way less HP than described on their products. They paid a heavy price for that false advertising in class action lawsuits. Dismissing this claim against Honda for now.

even an independent site in Thai claims the 2016 is 149cc
Probably why it's a little slower and maybe better in gas mileage? Ive got average of 55 kms/L (129mpgUS) (155mpg) - based on my fuel gauge

You are right, understating and over stating the engine displacement probably serves more to license, permits, taxes and government regulation for which ever country sold in. If they had to make an engine for every hurdle in every county to achieve the best marketing strategy probably go out of business. Seems more of a guide line and not the rule on wiki...
