Joliet Prison looks like its falling apart, windows busted out even in the towers. Walls crumbling and over grown, it's a route 66 land mark but outward appearances are looking pretty bad. There will never be public sentiment to maintain such a thing so it's just a big old structure slowly being reclaimed by nature.

I've probably watched the Blues Brothers more times than any other movie, I have it on VHS, DVD and have a vinyl LP of the music and I never once thought of it as it a musical till now.

We have black church right up the road from me. I hear them on Sunday when passing to my church. I always imagined whats going on in there as similar to what Jake and Elwood witnessed in the movie. I'm going to walk in that black congregation someday and see the light
