Honda CB500X Adventure conversion

This CB500X has been outfitted to handle the rigors of the average daily Scottish commute:

In my area that bike might be just the thing--I am not thinking of off road riding. The highways and byways are full of holes, peaked asphalt, and mismated slabs.

I hoped someone might find it informative and interesting, as some of the guys on here have expressed interest in the CB500X in the past.
They do different levels of the adventure conversion. The most basic being the upgraded shocks while maintaining the stock ride height.
Then you can get into the stronger spoked wheels and all that other fancy stuff. You can do all this to the CB500F too, which has a lower riser.

The RRP kit for the cb500x is out for about a year now. A really nice piece of well engineered package, but slightly overpriced for my budget. True though if I calculate my own engieering hours going into my own design - the cost benefit would be over.
I'm still waiting for the perfect wreck to buy (a bike with a slight front end damage as I'll change the front anyway) and build my almost perfect cb500x with the same suspension travel as the RR LVL3 kit.
There are two guys out there who have built the ultimate twin cyl lightweight adv bike which they call the CRF500L - mating a crf250l chassis whit the modern cb500 engine. Very light weight, long suspension travel, great comfort and superb economy they claim. Wort to take a look on advrider. Less extreme guys swap the front end to a longer travel upside down fork and live happy ever after.

Zonker: I've already installed cartridge emulators in mine, and seriously considered manufacturing a set of titanium damper rods to allow slightly longer suspension travel - but this project is currently on hold.
