I think its more than a feeling, it's the case. Many times I feel contempt from motorists by their actions, accelerations and maneuvers. But more when on scooter than street bike. If I search my soul for the reason I can find it

here it is and give me a break if you don't agree.
If you are a cage driver (who does not ride) you know if you tap a person on a
bicycle or motorbike stateside your life can be turned upside down in legal matters. Where-as having a fender bender results in practically nothing with another cage driver. As a scooter rider is perceived non-threatening and harmless, subconsciously you're threatening their lively hood legally. So perhaps, sometimes people are more likely to take it out on the scooter rider.
If you are a cage driver (who does not ride) and you tap a person on a
Harley you have a whole second level of concern

and you show a little more respect in the proximity of that twin engine rider.
Just an observation, I get more respect on Shonky than I do on Precious

same person, different bike. This could just all be about mufflers... I'm not a psychiatrist.
