Hey guys and girls,


I am thinking of getting a ground anchor and securing it to the concrete floor in my garden rather than chaining my scooter to a fence with a chain (also use 2 disc locks) just to give me extra security.

Can anyone recommend a reliable one & what type of drill to use?

Get a good strong one, 15mm or better. There are so many, but this company has good products

20mm anchor, 18mm chain and strong lock which cannot be easily cut.

If they want it. they will get it and nothing will stop even a semi professional. But you can slow them down a bit with some security. Best bet is a recording cam in view and a loud alarm system. A chain can be defeated in seconds.

It's a shame, thieves are in every neighborhood. Am I exaggerating? I don't know, but it sure the heck seems like it! Do the "Best" you can (see above) and hug your scoot

I live close to a private airport and frequent their lounge. They have cool ways to secure the aircraft and helicopters. I always thought if I needed to cable something to the earth and concrete wasn't available this would be quick, simple and cost effective. Oh course I would run over it with a lawn mower so probably not first choice.

20mm good ground anchor, 18mm chain (hardened and lighter weight than normal chains available at cost) and strong lock will stop all but those pro's with hydraulic cutters (normal large bolt cutter wont work).

And use a masonry drill bit with a hammer drill
