Hey, it actually had sidewalks and the homes weren't right on the road! My wife is from PA and when we go up there to visit I am always surprised to see homes right up on the edge of the highways. When I say on the edge, I mean right there. You have a front porch, and then the road! In face, some of the homes didn't even have a front porch, so you step out onto the road! I am sure that is because a couple of hundred years ago they did not have to worry about traffic, but I don't see how the houses are safe now. Heck, her sister's house is at the entrance to the little town and is essentially on a curve in the road. If the trucks miss the curve they will end up running right through at least one of those houses. Weird. When we would take a walk in the town with our dogs, the dogs would walk right up onto the front porches. They thought we were going to visit everyone. :-) Though the scenery is beautiful there, I think the term rural is given a whole new meaning there.

That is a really nice little town--it actually doesn't feel like a town with only 10,000 people. It has too many shops and too finished an infrastructure. I would bet it services a wide swath of farm country.
