Had a great time discussing the bikes this morning over coffee with Frank (K2apache6.0).....comparing mods and discussing sources of stuff. Franks bike is outstanding! We will meet up in another month if anybody's interested in bringing their bike over.....

I'd like push a like here - but no avail. Two pristine bikes indeed. Wish I'd be a few thousand miles closer for the time you meet up.

Frank's front brake rotor and Glen's windshield look great.
Here's to many more meetups!

Hey, pleasure to meet you Glen,
more mods and chats to come. Looking at the pic, now you have me thinking about mirrors too

I know some of you have been looking at Glen's Malossi pipe and having seen it up close, the quality, fit, and finish are 1st class. Anyone else in the South Florida area care to join us next time?

Stark difference in aesthetics when one looks at the forks. I'm torn on the black over the more traditional silver grey.

I have some 'Trusty' fork bottoms on order, mostly bright silver but with black also, they're really stylish. Will do a mod thread once all my new stuff has arrived and installed.

Once upon a time my wife and I had planned a trip down to Florida with our bikes in tow. Then we had the accident, and 2 days later the SUV, which had the tow hitch, was totaled. So much for our trip plans. It would have been great to tool around down there as a small group. Maybe, someday...
Meanwhile I have not stopped adding mods to my bike. The latest invention would thrill some of you. I found some strobe lights online that are about 1 1/4 inches across each. After some investigating I found that I could mount them using the two screws that hold paneling on under the front wheel well...the last two up at the top. Once they are mounted on each side I will modify them so that I can either turn them into daylight running lights OR strobe lights, with just the flick of a switch. I already have some high intensity LED lights on each side of the front wheel where the reflectors use to be. I also have some really small strobe lights attached to the Givi windshield on each side by the hand protection. The strobe has a push button on the panel where the gas cap is. The LED lights have a switch on the handle bars. I can set up the new strobe light/running lights to get power from either of those.
Never give an engineer spare time. We are always messing with something! :-)
In any case, white strobe lights would probably be a great idea in areas like Florida where no one seems to be able to see bikes.

If I ever get around to pulling the headlight cluster off mine I'll had a couple of bright white lights to the unused turn signal lenses. They are covered with a blank on US models but nothing a little ingenuity couldn't sort out.

I really wanted to install the lights in one of those blank spots within the light assembly. I just haven't found a way to keep them in place. These particular strobe light are set on a metal base which makes them too large to fit in the blank holes, if I drill out the holes. I don't know if the entire headlight assembly is plastic or glass. Either way, it looks like the holes on my 2013 model would only be about the size of a bulb like the ones used in car tail lights.
I know someone on this forum took their entire headlight assembly apart but I'm not sure that I would want to go through that much effort. Still...maybe...someday??

Very nice guys, good to hear you enjoyed meeting up. Bet you both learned something from one another, that's Kool and...
Yes, yes k2...I vote Smaller rabbit ears (mirrors) yours are talking to me
@ Honda: why must they Jump out Like this? Better visibility, ok ok I know. But c'mon, reel them down a bit!
I too changed my mirrors (same as Glen's, but in white) because I felt some smartass in their car, would reach out and grab one as I rode by or even while sitting at a traffic light/stop. Grab it and take off! Down I go. But, I think too much. Most likely it would never happen, but then again? It's a different day my peeps, not like yesteryear. I could tell a story of a recent occurrence, but I will refrain. It's everybody's lucky day!
So yeah k2, your scoot sitting there as sweet as candy, certainly deserves some mirror fashion. Perhaps it's Time to (amazon) Shop?
Glen, Yours is another fav of mine (starting with the color White) you done Good!!
Soo....did ya'll draw any attention with your two stallions sitting purdy like that? Certainly someone had to have said something! Like...."What bike is that? and Who makes it? I don't see a clutch, is it one of those automatic ones?"
Keep on keepin' on

You shouldn't even put these words out there--you might give somebody ideas.

Nice looking bikes, both of them. Once upon a time my little girl was pretty like they are too--but, ah, she's lain down too many times too fast in bad places (this is beginning to sound dirty, no?) and lost her bloom.
The upside is: I don't have to lock her up anymore. Thieves--at least the smart ones (I can outwit the others) don't waste their time or risk their liberty on such as her.

RU kidding fly? I can't tell. Or serious?
Ah yeah, kind of agree. But then ya better...
Turn off your TV's cuzz too much info is being tossed out there on a daily basis. Whoa! Waay to much information, if you ask me.
Perhaps we shut down the forums? A lot has been said & talked about over the years. Ideas flowing.
Smart ass' don't need any ideas of mine, or yours or anybody's. They are Way Ahead of the(ir) game.
No more from me on this. I bit the bait. Bad Mod!
Sorry folks and to the Op. Please excuse my interruption.
Moving on...
See the lovely bikes shown above? I may have to visit Amazon me self today. Credit on acct. awaits me

Hiya Whitenoise,
I enjoyed your post and had a good chortle at your constructive observations, 'Rabbit ears' LMAO

Well I'm thinking about mirrors for sure now and especially having seen Glen's. However, I prefer em' when they're not too small as many aftermarket ones tend to be, function comes first when you commute to Miami and back twice a week. I tend to dislike edgy Tribal designs or colored/tinted glass, taste is subjective, I prefer classy to edgy, and it has to be an improvement, not 'same but different'. I have my eye on some which again are smaller than I'd like.. But I'm working on it, cheers buddy.
