Hi All,
As a newcomer to the delights of PCX125 riding, I'm finding the thing a hoot to ride. A perfect town transport and adequate (even running in) on rural roads. Think this should be another long relationship - I've had my other bike, a Triumph Daytona for 15 years now!
Only issue so far is the suspension which shows signs of bottoming out at the rear 2 up and I just wondered if anyone out there had ever looked into beefing up the shocks? I have searched the forums, but could find no reference to suspension, so apologies if it is there somewhere.

This topic has been discussed numerous times. Indeed, for the term "suspension" the engine throws an exception being too common of a word.
"Suspension upgrade" however gives >800 results, while "rear shock" gives 514 hits.
I guess searching only in PCX related forum and limiting results to topics instead of posts will yield in a better digestible number results. I guess many of us will be more than happy to answer by the time have something specific to answer.

Most people find YSS Z series or the more expensive G-Euro suit them well.
I have the G-Euro and they work well with the preload increased ~30%.

Thanks Chicaboo, when I had more time to browse, I did find that information. Interested to hear about the G-Euro option, I'll research that so thanks again.

I don't know if G-Euro are worth the added expense, as I can only compare to stock.
The vendor I got mine from said the oil reservoirs improve rebound control over bumps.
Until I increased the preload on the spring perches they were similar to stock without bottoming out.
Since winding them up, they feel much better and more compliant than stock.

Though I only installed the Takeaway Lowering Shocks on mine, I still find them much better than the stock ones, since they are adjustable. From everything that I have read on this forum though, the YSS shocks are some of the better shocks you could get without emptying your pocket or bank account. There are various sizes and strengths of those too. If you read through the various threads I think you will find that there will be at least one of these that will work well for you. I have NCYs on mine and they are good. They have a rebound adjuster on them with easy access for on the fly changes. They were not cheap, but I'm very happy with them. One downside; they've made me realize how bad the front forks are.

The second downside is that you have to hand over the title to your PCX just to pay for them. Well, knowing the deer around there, you had to beef up the suspension so that they could be comfortable on your scooter when they jump on while you are riding anyway....very considerate of you.
