Hi all
I'm a bit new to this so please bare with me.
I really love my PCX but really wished the rear rim is wider so I can fit more then a 120 tire in the back. I know someone had fitted 140 and spaced the air box but I feel unsafe to do so on such a narrow stock rim.
So the question is, what other bike has a compatible rim but wider which can be swapped out to the pcx?
I intend to remove the air box and fit a can filter and remove the mid guard and fit an alternative.

Just found out that a Forza is
120/70 - 14 front and
140/70 - 13 rear

Can the Forza rims be fitted to a pcx?

No.
The wheel on a PCX has a brake drum in the middle of it, a Forza wheel has a brake disc bolted to it.
The two wheels are completely incompatible.

It's generally not a simple matter to simply change out a wheel for a different size. There are several considerations to take into account. As GN2 pointed out, the PCX has a rear drum brake. Along with that, Modifications would need to be made to the rear swing arm as it is currently is set up for a specific hub width.

Personally, I see little point in changing the tire width since there isn't really any major advantage to the wider rubber on such a small machine. Different rubber compounds will have more effect and cost less than going through all the modification headaches needed to add an overwidth tire, and Michelin city grips are flippin' cheap for the quality you get. Of course, if you wish to be like the idiots who ruin their cars by "stancing" them, just to get a certain look, go ahead, it's your money, but you risk destroying a perfectly good scooter for little return in the long run.

Many have already done this mod riding their PCX's thousands of miles with absolutely no reason to feel unsafe, and actually feel much safer than the stock tires/tyres/terrs. It won't be flying off and it won't be going on easily either. We are not on the track at 160 mph with our scooters... you will be fine

Ooooh a BRZ. I've got one of those.

I would go to a good tire fitter first with real experience rather than hearsay and a handful of people who have put a 140 and aftermarket air box who really don't want to tell you how weird the tire looks on the rim or the speed they love at through the air box.

A good fitter will use the correct guide to point you in the right direction. speed is not the only thing that can pull the tire off the rim....a big enough pot hole will do the trick. Get the guys with the 140 on the back to show you the profile and angle of the sidewall of the tire and how much it's been pinched in.

Not a good look on standard rim and screams wrong tire.
I would go with a wide 13"s And a tire to make up the height of 14s
Failing that Pirelli front and back.

BTW forza 125 wheels just happen to fit the pcx and they are 14 with wide enough to fit a 150 tire at the rear.

That's a lot of money. Those wheels are £100 elsewhere in Thailand. Even Yoko wheels are only £100 a pair... I see your dilemma. The exporters are charging way too much.

It was just previously said that they don't? I was thinking changing the rear hub brakes to disk brakes would be a plus side if it has to be done to transfer.

100% sure. You have to change a lot of things to convert to rear disc brake though.

Any pictures of said conversion to a Forza rear wheel?
It would be massively expensive.

No pictures of a said conversion - still waiting to come across an affordable totall loss forza125. However the compatibility was first suspected based on cross refrencing part numbers - and confirmed with a quick check during tire change on a forza. Haven't got enough time to try fitting it and confirm that the drum brake fits immediately, but the wheelnis machined out like it should fit it - so even is the rear disc conversion is highly sought after - not necessary.

There are loads of Forza here in the UK and many bad riders so loads being broken here.
