Newbie with new 2013 PCX 150. Second tank of gas was awesome. 127 miles on 1.19 gal of gas for 106.7 Miles per gallon. Love it. John in Arizona.

The PCX does get good gas mileage, it's quite an awesome vehicle.

Why do North Americans use awesome every second word. I think it's the equivalent of our "nice"

done 70 miles and fuel bar says half way, i know it rapidly drops from there and this is still in the break-in stage

The fuel gauge on the PCX must have been designed by the marketing department - pure guesswork.

Only worth considering when on the last 3 bars. I just always reset the trip meter and fill up after 3 days or at around 210km (I do 70km a day commuting). Normally have a 2 or 3 bars left.

Thanks for the welcome. I had a 50cc Zuma for 6 years so this 150 is like a hot rod to me. I presently own a 2012 Honda VT 1300 Interstate and a 2002 Honda Magna 750. I just sold my 2008 Concours 14 and my 2007 Vulcan 2000 Classic. My old legs are getting too weak to hold up the heavier bikes so I had to down size. I have been riding for over 50 years and have found out through trial and error, you can't beat Honda quality overall, so now my garage is all Honda. Take care and ride safely.

So far my 2013/150 isn't performing as promoted on mileage. Here's the deal, I picked up my slightly used 150 which had 813 miles just yesterday and rode it home 160 miles. The previous owner had the first servicing done through the honda dealer where he purchased so all was good with service. I have an after market GIVI windshield installed which may affect some mileage/wind. I first went to a fuel station and put in Premium fuel for the trip, topped off. More than half way home I tested the scooter when I passed a town in a dark late Sunday night watching the road closely for any deer that would want to say hi to a newer PCX, one candidate said hello, the pcx brakes worked fine. Minutes later, the last fuel bar began blinking to which my mind said not in hell will I pull over and fill this thing. Of course, I gave in, judging the next town was 16 miles away up and down rolling highway hills in the dark. I made it to my fill up, my fill took 1.4 something gallons. However, the disappointment set in as I calculated an average of 73 MPG. JUST SEVENTY THREE. WHAT THE ?.. I don't give a flying blank about projections, reality is 73MPG. NOT 102, or 95-102. Conditions, my weight is 226lbs., the temperature outside was 35F-40F degrees with a slight headwind, sometimes gusting, I had on a winter jacket, a dickie, strap down glove covers on the bars, no other add ons. My final fueling near my home turned out an UNIMPRESSIVE 73 MPG. I bought this thing thinking I would get much better economy than on my Kymco Like 200 - 65MPG. In the future I will always deduct 30% from the manufactures fuel claims most likely calculated in an ideal perfect unlikely setting. This setting, cold rolling hills of western Iowa. My rant concerning fuel mileage is done. Peace, new PCX owner.

The average fuel economy for the PCX as posted on Fuelly is about 94 mpgUS , 40km/L , 113 mpgImperial , 2.50 L/100km. As reported with a very large sample size of 373 and showing a near perfect bell curve.

Have you checked the obvious things like tyre pressures and binding brakes?

It hasn't fully broken in yet. You also have other things to consider, such as wind and hills. Your weight does make a bit of a difference, but give the scooter a chance to break in and it should get better. Also, make sure the bike is on its center stand while fuelling it. We found out from experience that filling it up on the side stand doesn't fill it all the way up. Ours didn't really start getting great performance until around 2,000 miles.

Is it possible that these could be, just slightly dragging on the brakes. I get around 117 mpg, (imp) with the large Givi screen, about 125 with small one. Try touching the front disc after a few miles to see if its getting to hot.

I can vouch that at 65mph with the stock variator I get 73-75 mpg at wot. Now with an aftermarket variator and 13g sliders that jumped to 83-85 at 65mph as my top end raised to 77mph. I ride lots of highway and will say that the proper variator and weights change everything!

Err. Be careful though!

Since you didn't mention an average speed, that might also have added to your mileage. Highway segments are also on the lower end of the mileage spectrum here...
