Hi everybody :-)

Located around Málaga, I'm new to this forum and I just bought a Honda PCX 125cc 2016 Model.
I got it in white, and have already passed 800km, got the first 1000km service coming up this Monday.

Besides that, I am 26 years old and use this as my main transportation.

Anything i should know as a new driver? :-) I've driven 50cc scooters back when i was 15-17 years old, but since then It has only been by car actually. I picked the PCX because i want to get a real Motorcycle in some years when I have gotten used to it.

And oh, i have a question about warranty and putting on a after market exhaust.

Thank you so much :-) and yes! I've always loved White cars/bikes. I used to have a VW Golf 2 GTI 16v in Alpinweiss with Individual Throttle Bodies running at around 200BHP. So it's a little different swapping it with 2 wheels.


I will ask at my local Honda dealer this monday instead :-) You are proberbly right, it's better to ask them directly.

The one piece of advice I can give you is that scooters and motorcycles are not readily visible to 4 wheeled drivers, especially those who are not use to seeing them. I know that in Europe there are a lot of 2 wheeled riders, but just be aware that high visibility is important.

Im aware of this yes. Already put around 800 or 900 km's behind me. But I think people in Spain, atleast, are much more aware of this than other places around the globe. People make plenty of space for me in traffic jams, red lights and such.

But ofcourse, always stay alert when riding!

May I humbly suggest that you treat riding (and driving, for that matter) like a musician might treat playing the piano or violin--I mean, it is a subject you can get better and better at no matter how long you have been at it. As Goya put it: Aun aprendo.

Always new things to learn :-) Stay open minded.

And I've just mounted my Garmin Virb, as i drive a dangerous highway to work everyday, I want to record it. Last summer we had around 1-2 accidents on the road each day, mainly because of all the tourism.

I believe member Mel46 was referring to high visibility as making yourself seen to all others on the road (any/all vehicles) and off (those that might step off a sidewalk placing themselves in your path).

Choose Safe Clothing. Be Bright (it's more than a color and Be Seen!

Thanks! Yeah I think iIeven saw a user In here saying white is faster.
Anyways, high visibility, I might have misread that yes! Will remember that when i go gear hunting soon.

I live in Spain, and in the summer months it is simply too warm to dress up 100% safely. I ride in shorts and a windbreaker at the moment.

Even when it is hot, you can still get a hi-vizi safety vest like road workers wear, and a bright helmet. Those two things should make you much more visible to others. The vest is light weight, especially the mesh ones. The helmet, well you have to have one anyway, so why not get one that is visible to others.

I might be too young for dressing up like that then :-)
