Hey everyone. I have been having a great time riding and enjoying my Forza. Great bike. Even here in Baton Rouge, I've had a few people intrigued by it. My question is, how do you open the battery box. I want to install a battery tender. Thanks.

I forget the exact procedure but I removed the seat, two (?) nuts and force off the prop strut, so that it made it easier to do this. The battery is at the front of the underseat area. I think there were a couple of screws to remove the plastic to get to the battery.

Too many head injuries, I forget what I did yesterday sometimes.

three screws holding the cover on...I managed to get the battery out a couple of times without removing the seat when fitting my heated grips but you need to be a bit of a contortionist! ...but can be done.

You're in Baton Rouge. You don't need no stinkin' heated grips.

I had the shop install the battery tender leads. They mentioned that the process was a PITA, but I'm sure they did it without pulling the seat. Then again, they may have had it up on a workstand - IDK.

 You will not know what "a Lil chilly" is till you visit Scotland in the winter...even in the summer!!...still it was beautiful sunny and warm today so no need to turn on the heated grips!!

I could have used heated grips yesterday. I went up the Coquihalla to view the long weekend rush. The summit was in a cold wet cloud. There was only one accident. A home made trailer with a boat in it tried to overtake the small SUV pulling it down the hill. The Zopkios food trailer has lemon zinger (ginger) tea.

I installed Battery Tender leads last summer when I bought the bike. It was so easy that I didn't really form any memories of it. Some people pull the seat off for more working room, but I guess I'm just too lazy.

IIRC, there are just a couple of screws holding an oddly-shaped plastic cover in place. Pull the screws out, pop the hatch up, and there are the battery leads.

Of course, I haven't actually used the Tender yet since the scoot is my commute year-round, but it's good to know that I have the insurance there if I need it.
