Mileage of your PCX

Hi there,

I was wondering what the typical and maximum mileage of PCX riders in this forum is. Since most users here are probably from the US, I suggest that we use US miles.
I currently have 9600 miles (15450 km) on mine.

What is your current mileage? What parts did you have to replace?

Best regards,
Klaus

2015 PCX 150, 9,468 miles in 13 months.

Maintenance:

Bought a Michelin City Grip for back tire last month, as the original was starting to wear thin (back brakes were also changed because they were almost to the point of changing them, and since the back tire was off . . . !)
Normal oil and air filter changes.

Aftermarket additions:

Added mirror extenders so I could see more than my shoulders
Added a Givi medium windscreen (thanks WhiteNoise!)
Swapped the crap'ola back shocks for YSS G Series XXL shocks with the reservoir.

I've got nearly 5800 on mine (5780 I think). That's since August, with winter and no riding for about a month due to my little mishap. It needs a new back tire which is on order. Brake pads in the front are looking a bit thin too.

8250 in 2 yr's (all year riding) and tyres still have lots of life left (IRC's - been fine for me). Had the 1st service at the dealer, since changed the engine oil and final drive oil once, soon to change engine oil again. Still on original spark plug and air filter but will change both at 10K - bike rides like a dream, starts 1st time and still getting well over 130mpg (true mpg but computer gauge is always within a few mpg of real litres/trip).

I am not sure most users are from the US. The largest group may be in the US (though I am not positive as I think the UK has considerable numbers), but they are likely not the majority.

What is the difference between a US mile and a mile from elsewhere. My understanding is that a mile is an Imperial unit of measurement. Fluids are different, such a gallons, but distance is the same as far as I know.

None, I gather zanggerk was getting confused with US vs UK (european?) gallons as in quoted mpg.
The mile is 1,609 meters the world over, except in Belgium where it is 1,608 meters due to the Belgium chocolate covenant of 1603 < apparently!

My wife's bike has a little over 13,000 miles on it. Mine was purchased quite a bit later so it only has about 5,500 miles on it. At around 10,000 miles her clutch bearing went out and we had a time finding parts since a lot of others had the same problem. While it was in the shop I had them swap belts from my new PCX to hers. Later on I purchased a new belt for mine, so her old one is our 'spare' for emergency replacement, should one break. I changed out my rollers when I replaced my belt, installing the NCY 13 gram ones instead. My pick up improved considerably, though the top end is still the same. I think both batteries have been replaced also.
i recently changed her variator, drive face and rollers to the NCY combination also. I also changed out her tires to Michelin City Grips while it was in the shop at 10,000 miles. I changed my rear tire to City Grip as soon as I purchased my bike. She wants me to change out the front tire as well. I am still thinking about that.
And then there are the normal things that many of us swap out, like seat and windshield. It only took us a week of riding with the orignal seat and windshield to decide to replace them. What a difference!

Think mine has 1,250 miles, give or take. It'll be three years old in August.

Sorry about the confusion. I was also thinking about nautic miles (1 nautic mile=1852 meters) because I need them for glider plane flying. They are used internationally for planes and ships, but of course not for bikes.

Bash on, you only have 1250 on your bike after 3 years??! You may as well sell it. You obviously aren't riding get it. At 34.7 miles per month the tires will rot off of it before you get to your 600 mile service.

PCX 125 esp 2013
28,000 miles

Parts that have NEEDED replacing:-

Tyres(3 x rear 2 x front)

Brake Pads x 3 change including originals

Brake Shoes x 1 change

Clutch bearings at around 12k

Coil at 25k.

At least 4 belts and 5 x roller changes(these were done way before they were NEEDED to be)

Also i have had to strip down and repair the wiring loom due to a broken wire round the back of the airbox leading to the speedo sensor

10,400 miles (16,750 kms) on my 2010 (they were released in Thailand that year).

That is 1,900 miles (3,000 kms) per year. I have had it for almost 3½ years and only put about 1,300 miles (2,100 kms) on it, or 31 miles (50 kms) per month .... but I am not selling it Mel46. ;)

Just over 13,000 miles. The only thing that NEEDED replaced is one front tire and 2 rear tires.

1250 miles comes after 600 miles. :geek:

My old PCX is still on the go, have seen it recently, probably up around 30,000 miles by now.
