For me it was a 95' Hero Panther moped. Bought it pretty cheap and it ran good. Although quickly found out the lack of parts availability and sold it. :x Damn bike was slow, but very fun to ride. You could walk a few steps beside the bike and she would start right up every time. Often miss that moped.

Suzuki GS850G, travelled all round the UK and did some big European tours on it.
Was the early model with slide carbs and points ignition.
There's nothing available today which comes close.

For me, it was a 1957 Simplex Servicycle which looked EXACTLY like this one:

https://www.google.com/search?q=1957+Si ... y1tJXRM%3A

It was my first motorcycle, I was 14 years old, and it felt like being king of the road !!
Ironically, it had a CVT trans, belt final drive, and 125cc engine....good for about 50 mph.

I'm now 73 years old, and my current ride (PCX150) has a CVT trans, belt final drive, and 150cc engine.....good for about 63 mph.

Back to the future !!!
Johnny

1983 Honda VF750S

Sold it a couple years ago. Wish I'd kept it.

It's the one in the middle. Thing was a beast. It was heavy, but it could run all day.

Probably right.
If anyone made a decent shaft drive motorbike these days chances are I wouldn't be enjoying the benefits of a scooter.

Loved the smooth sure footed ride of my 2007 Piaggio MP3 250. But, she was too bulky, heavy and also tempermental as far as (what I like to call) fainting spells  aka dropping in slow motion. Takes explaining. Those who have owned one, know what I'm referring to. Fix that fainting and I'd consider another.
Anywho...in the looks department, my 2005 Honda Shadow vlx/dlx 600 in Candy Orange...Bling Blinged in chrome. What a sexy sweet lowrider.
Ahh, now..."I feel so lonesome, I could cry"

I can't remember what year it was but I had a Honda that was the love of my life, but divorce required that it be sold. It was a 500 or 550, I can't remember which. My brother had one like it that he traveled the United States on. This was back in the early 1970's so it might have been a 500. I don't think they made a 550 at that time. In any case, it had all the power I needed and was comfortable. I couldn't have asked for a better bike. I never had a problem with it.

I miss my little Ninja 300 that I traded in for my PCX - but at least I made some videos so I can relive some of the fun times we had together :D
