Worn belt?

I have now 7k miles on my Forza with no issues to report other than what I suspect is a worn belt. The symptom is that the transmission makes a more pronounced clunking noise when accelerating from standstill. It is fine when moving from speed. It also has begun to feel quite slow and has definitely lost its edge.

Is this too early for a belt replacement? The warranty expires mid Jan so if this is symptomatic of something more serious then I suppose I should get it back to the dealer.

Any guidance gratefully appreciated.

I definitely do because otherwise the cars behind will most likely rear end me :D

Belt lasts in excess of 16000 miles so I reckon more likely to be related to the rear brake caliper sticking, worn out pads or shot clutch bearings.
Check for nasty noises when turning the rear wheel by hand with the engine off.

With the warranty about to run out I have the bike booked in for its 8k service. Dealer tells me that they have had about 6 other people in with pads and discs that need replaced which I suspect mine requires also again (mine were toast at 3k) .

Rear tyre looks squared off too and that was replaced before which means it's only lasted 4k !
