Hi :D ,

Blazinby here, have never ridden a motorbike before but with a little research (a lot actually)I decided that the PCX was for me.

bought a bike (PCX 125 2015 shiny Black) and have my CBT on the 13/8

thought I should introduce myself before I start with the my noob questions ;)

Respect

Welcome Blazinby, just got my PCX125 a few weeks ago myself, been on a Peugeot 50cc before that for 5 years. If I can answer anything I will, fabulous scooter by the way, you will enjoy it.

wow

thanks for the welcome, will def post pics as soon as she arrives :)

had a car liscence for 25 years so I'm no stranger to the roads around me but I am a bit nervous about starting out on my two wheeled adventure.

I'm a mature student and my college is about three or four miles away in the centre of Glasgow.

It would cost me a fortune to park a car in town and I truly dislike public transport,oh yeah and I can't really afford to buy/run a car anyway

so by logical reaoning a scooter would free me from the expense of running a car (hypothetical car atm) and the discomfort of overcrowded public transport.

no brainer if I just bite the bullet and give it a go

well here goes

Hello and welcome to the forum. I was 42 when I got my pcx after a short time with and old c70 when I was 18. It won't take you long to get used to it and sure you'll have fun, (if the rain stays off).

Welcome Blazinby :D

CBT is really easy and before you know it they'll be getting you out on the road.

Hardest bit for me was getting the bike off the center stand

Hey, Congrats on your recent purchase. I got my a few weeks ago and although got a little familiar with the road not too long after rolling it out of the dealership I still adore every moment on it. just been out today for a quick ride, weather here is beautiful for it.
I've found this forum a fountain of useful knowledge and friendly advice.
A quick tip look out for fuel on the roads :s

Asking ScootyK, have you found getting your scoot on its center stand easier now?

Yeah WhiteNoise, it was so embarrassing at the time though, especially as there were two of us doing the CBT and the other guy (aged 17 and I'm 30) had no problem with it at all ...

Turns out he had quite a bit of experience with off-road motorcycles though which made me feel a little better.

My advice for the CBT would be:

1. Stay Calm and listen carefully
2. Don't worry if you can't do something immediately, it may take a few goes (like my center stand problem lol  )
3. Remember your highway code for the Q&A bit, especially different crossings
4. Have fun and enjoy it! :D

(is that 3?)

(noob question 4 or 3 or 5 for that matter)

Good thing you don't have to fly an "L" flag as you ride :D
