3 day old and crashed.

Hi, first time scooter owner. Bought a bran new PCX in red on weds 22nd of July and today came round a roundabout and hit a patch of fuel on the road... Needless to say my bran new shiny PCX isn't looking as shiny as it was.
Really gutted have loved every single second on this little bugger and now it's all.scratched up. Need at least two panels (front and underneath) and a new left brake.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of parts? I'm waiting on my quote from the Honda dealership but if I can save money I'd be happier as it's my little girl's first birthday in a month and panel replacement money should really be spent on gifts for her!

Thanks

Right there. Might help to know where you are to consider shipping costs.

Seph, so sorry to here about your fall. Good you're okay and here for your daughter's birthday('s) :)
I'm with Valiant, your location would be helpful in helping you. I can point you to websites, but they might be very far from you. So on that note, please go back and enter your location in your profile. You can do that by following my easy directions below. Thanks

Oh know! These things come in 3's. Good news is your daughter will have her daddy in good order for her birthday and it will be all about her. Bad news is you make my survivors list. No one ever seems to hurt more than their pride on one of these scooters so there is that. I'm sure you will have it Looking like new in no time.... except for Valiant

Thanks for your support guys. I'm here in the UK near Liverpool. I saw Powerbypcx.com on here last night and have priced up the parts. Tbh the pricing seems too good to be true. Honda would be charging me three times as much for these parts.
Homie glad to be on a list rather than slab!

Thanks again.
P.S. I will update my profile asap.

Remember that customs will maybe want some cash too, but still works out much cheaper.

Yeah, customs and probably 20% after that. But it'll still come out cheaper I believe. I'm planning a quick patch job. Using a solvent weld, duct tape and nail varnish.... It won't be pretty but it'll have to do till the parts get ordered.

Check partzilla.com or bikebandit.com. They usually have good prices.

Don't forget panels for the PCX 150 2015 will fit also.

Your not a million miles from me, I can ask at my dealers in Rochdale for prices on panels, once the storms buggered off tomorrow/Monday I should be able to pop in, since I need a few things from them. I can have a word.

I'll send you a pm anyways if I get a price of them for panels.

Hey DrewJW, thanks for that, that would be great. I'm only down the east lancs. Recently relocated from Manchester also, so I'm familiar with the area.

Also, thanks for the PM, but it says I haven't participated enough to reply.
The parts that I'll need are The front left panel, the bottom panel, the left brake and the left grab rail (although the grab rail isn't too bad). I'll post a picture of the damage tomorrow when I get it out of the garage.

Pictures would be great, I can forward them to the dealers and he can give me a rough estimate.

Just had to nip out in the rain to deliver some of our chicken's eggs to the in-laws.
Thank God for duct tape.
I'll be removing the tape to do a solvent weld job tomorrow in work, I'll post some close up damage photos tomorrow.

The front panel at the top is cracked almost in half with a large chunk (covered by duct tape), the bottom panel and black plastic foot plate (covered by tape) has a chip out of it. the brake you can see have a lovely curve to it. and the grab rail is scuffed.
Also the handle bar cap is scuffed and I'm missing the catch out of the glove box.
so my parts required in a list are.

Left Front panel/fairing.
Left Bottom Panel/fairing.
Left Plastic Foot Flank.
Grab Rail.
Left Brake Arm.
Handle Bar cap.
Catch for glove box.

I got a quote of the Honda Dealership of £500 just for parts..... Fitting ontop of that I'm not going to be getting much change out of £800.

If the place you deal with can do better than that I'd love to hear what they have to say.
thanks again.

I thought the complete panel set was about £200 (equivalent) in Thailand - someone on this forum bought the lot to change the colour of their '13 PCX. Import charges/postage/etc will add quite a bit - going to be tricky to find that as so many words are common now.

Solvent based adhesives really don't work. Soldering iron and the plastic from a zip tie can work

Plastic welding using zip ties really? It's not a permanent fix. It's to keep it from rattling when I ride.

Cheers, unfortunately I'm not scouse. Just put my nearest city. If I put Lathom, no one would have a clue.
I'm using a French site, I can't see an American site. do you know any?

Also anyone know of a place I can get the plastic level/ lifting tools to remove the fairing without destroying the edges?

thanks

First time out in the rain up Newcatsle the last few days. The crap IRC tyres the PCX comes with are horrendous. The back end is constantly "wobbling" and I'm riding very carefully.
