So, I take my Forza to the shop for the third time (initial service, fuel pump recall and 8,000 mile service) and for the third time, I forgot to ask them to look at the headlight adjustment. It doesn't give a whole lot of reach on dark roads (I'm outrunning the light at about 40 mph) but lights up the first 50 feet in front of me like daylight. I'd rather not wait for the next 8,000 mile check-up to get it adjusted; I work nights and drive an unlit road for four or five miles of the drive.

Anybody know how to adjust the headlight? Is it one adjustment for brights and dims?

Headlight aim is part of the 8000 mile service (1st check since sale). Not sure if what you describe is adjusted correctly or not, but 50ft seems they are pointed down a bit too much.

There's an adjuster screw which is easily accessible from the opening underneath the headlamp.

Pretty sure your owner's manual shows where/how you do this. Can use a small wrench or a phillips screwdriver if I recall....I did this adjustment after bringing new scooter home.
The adjustment moves both high and reg beam aiming ,(reflector is moved)

I should have thought of looking in the manual. It's in the maintenance chapter. Much better now.

Well, I feel like an idiot. I have consulted both the owner’s manual and the shop manual (basically the same diagram, but better labels in the owner’s), but I simply can not find the headlight aim adjustment screw up under there. I can not see anything that looks like what they are trying to show me. I must be seriously senile.

Is there an actual photograph showing a screwdriver on this thing in context rather than simply and artist’s rendition?

I did find it but mine does nothing. I hope it is broken otherwise I am a fool also.

Oh, wait. I think I found it. It’s not actually a screw. OK, I’ll go back to that wall with tape &c and try again tomorrow evening after the sun goes down.

Does one have to do this on both sides independently? Or does the right side suffice for the whole unit?

I think mine was not adjusting properly because the plastic rivets holding the assembly to the frame were broken. I put sheet metal roofing screws in place of the rivets and my headlight does not bounce so much anymore. I need to try the adjustment again. Snowing too much today.
