Garage Door Lights

My house and garage is at the top of a short steep driveway, and as there is a school nearby I reverse my car into the garage so that when I leave no kids are accidently run over. As a result of my caring sharing nature, the other day in pouring rain I managed to back into a door pillar instead of the garage.

Lucky for me my son is a handy maintenance guy, so after some deep thought and lots of searching we found some LED strip lights I bought on ebay over a year ago. I have a habit of putting things in a safe place usually never to be seen again.
Stuart, my son, rigged the lights up to my garage door opener, and when I hit the remote, the gates of heaven now open for me. Hopefully no entity will decide I'm not worthy as I'm backing the car in.
