The Honda PCX / Forza / ADV150 / SH Forums

I have seen this mentioned a few times but just got to use for the first time. I picked one up before xmas on a sale and a second coupon for $72 plus tax (they are on sale frequently). While I would not use it on a 900-1000 lb Harley I think it is perfect for our under 500-600 lb. scooters. Honda even has added muffler pipe guards for lifting the scooters with these types of lifts (2nd picture). You can even pull it around. The main con I see is it only goes so high for those who may want to stand. I even can lift the PCX using my hand on the lever laying down. Very little effort required. It has safe locks at four positions when up (the max position is 17" high so a work stool works well). It works flawlessly so far. I really didn't have room for a larger lift and can easily store this one under a workbench.

I plan on using it for my ATV and John Deere tractor as well.

That would a good thing to have.

I still need to give it a good spit shine while it is down there with the Formula 33.

That life is a good idea. I just spent 3 miserable hours trying to work on the rear end of my wife's bike. I have multiple lights to put on which requires me to undo what i originally did to connect the previous lights. When i got my bike and started installing lights i decided to try to make it easy for me to install and remove lights, something i hadn't thought to do on her bike. Now i have to undo the mess i made on hers aand try to do it better using what i learned while working on my bike. But bending over the bike or squatting to work under the rear tire area is difficult. I may just invest in one of those lifts and save my back from yet another surgery.

Yes - the lift is a definitely a body saving device. Not to mention my cats can't attack me on the chair. (they mean well but are pesty)

Have you tried the lift on the Forza?

No - I just made sure it has the supports for using the lift like the PCX does. The lift effortlessly raises the PCX so weight won't be an issue. I may put the Forza back down stairs to give it a cleaning too.

Wondering SECoda, Does the lift itself (the one you have), "get in the way" of doing an oil change?

I see that. I actually used the 25% one-time EOY coupon on top of the $99 price for mine and they had no problem with it. It appears they may limit it now. What a bummer. I would call them.

If you look at my second picture you can see the oil plug bolt above the muffler pipe further back from where the lift is. It is clear. I used a plastic jug with the top cut off to collect the oil since it tends to run down the center stand. I had a large (18" x 30" x 3/4") galvanized flat pan pushed up to the lift for whatever missed the jug from the back and didn't get a drop on the floor. The strainer is no problem either.

Necessary is a relative term in this case. It's much easier but It depends a little bit on how much ones old bones hurt getting on the ground. I love it for cleaning the bikes too - especially on the underside areas. My other primary use is to change the three blades on a 54" mower deck on my John Deere tractor. That is a real pain w/o a good lift. I have a standard 3 1/2 ton truck/auto lift and it doesn't do so well balanced with the small saucer. I don't need a remote start on my Titanium but I love it right now.

Just don't forget to keep the C-stand down at all time you are up Oh and a hot muffler pipe will melt the lifts rubber pads... did that for you guys already LOL.

I never thought about putting the center stand up once it is lifted.

A bit of advice.....if you remove either wheel it will upset the balance and it will fall off....make sure you block the frame or strap it to the lift so it cant fall off.
