I am psyching up to finally install the NCY stuff on the PCX since I have the new Forza tweaked where I want it for now. I may switch brake handles and foot rests, or add a few more decals, etc.. but only cosmetic.

In all of the various acrobatics performed on this forum to install the NCY stuff did we determine that it can be done w/o removing any panels? Which thread here is best to use as a guide? :? Basically, I would like to benefit from all of the hard work and research others have done here. :P TIA

As far as i know the variator is still under that silver cover on the left rear side of the bike. But then, i could be wrong. It might have moved.

Except for putting the covers back on this guy did it in less than 22 minutes and speaking for the video.

I you have a universal 1/4" and a 8mm 1/4 normal (not deep) socket, then you can remove the cover without pulling the lower trim panel. If you don't you'll have to remove it. I can pultt the trim panel off in 2 minutes or less, but then again, I've had it off 10 times or more.

Don't forget to pull the snorkel in the outer airbox if you haven't already.

There is nothing to it. Take the cover off and unscrew one nut. If you are doing the belt, one more nut in the back to slide the rear pulleys out.

When my wife was really mad at me about a year ago she went out and estimated I had about $3k of mechanics tools in large stainless tool box and didn't need any more. Is it possible to have too many tools? I think I have it covered. :P

Thanks on the snorkel. I had not seen that one.

We have a friend up the street from us that has a garage full of tools....and when I say full I mean FULL. He opens his garage door and turns sideways to make his way through the garage. He says that if one screwdriver is good, twenty should be excellent! The problem is, he has so many tools that he doesn't know where those screwdrivers are!

That is my main problem - I can't find it when I need it. I have a double stacked 41" stainless tool chest that is packed and then a second 26" double tool chest packed but those are just mechanics tools. Power tools and air tools enters a new realm of stuff. When I go to Sears or any tool store I just can't resist the latest thing. Then I started collecting those specialty kits like brakes, etc.. Sometimes it take me more time to find the tools than the job takes.

The universal joints and versions of wrenches do come in handy a lot.

Perhaps donate the tools to charity (or a mechanic) and then have a lie down...?

Well if you must know the smaller chest is the 'families" tools and mine are locked. They even had the nerve to ask for the key a few times. :P

Well, aside from a clutch holding tool I don't think you need any special tools. Almost all of my tools are metric now, so taking a PCX apart is well within my tool range...aside from a need for a clutch holding tool, which I don't have.

I picked up the clutch holding tool on Amazon that i think most are using quite a while back. I was not fond of the impact driver the guy was using in the video to loosen the nut on the variator that are tightened with a thread locker.

The grass is always greener on the other side ;) .
My meager parking spot keeps me from owning anything bigger, like the Forza. I can likely fit a dual-sport or CBR250 in there, but I prefer something with a more relaxed upright position(cruiser) instead of being hunched over:

I am sure others have asked this before but i want to make sure so that i can mark the websites that have the NCY stuff...will the ncy drive face and variator for the 125 fit the 150?

Yes the NCY 125 stuff fits and works on the 150 and is labelled 125.

I purchased the variator and face plate here for $85. I picked up the 13g NCY rollers later on from Amazon for $19 (about $5 cheaper than corsportusa free shipping) and the new stock belt from a regular Honda parts dealer for about $20.

A barrel of crude just fell below $50 so we should see gas dip below $1.50 gal here soon. o_O Heck I am driving my V8 F150 Supercrew around again.
