I cannot recall the normal sound. When you have the bike off and roll it forward and back, is it quiet or is there a soft metal rubbing sound? I was suspecting the rear brake shoe, but I see nothing wrong with it and it makes the same sound without the shoe in place and just the drive gear turning. I was looking through the manual for other fluids that could be low, and I only see "Final Drive Oil". What are the possible sources for this noise or is it normal?

I believe your hearing slight noise from the final drive in motion .
Have you checked the final drive fluid ?.

Looked up changing that fluid. seems simple enough. Thank you!
