GoPro announces they will enter the market with camera equipped drones between 500.00 and 1K dollars next year.

I think this is smart idea for GoPro but I would have rather they merged with an existing drone maker and not start from scratch. Here is the best consumer drone product on the market right now because of the gimbal on the camera. I might get sucked into these drones at some point when they are just too user friendly. This one uses GPS to hold its position and altitude never going below altitudes programed so it doesn't crash into the ground. Plus if it loses signal from the radio at anytime (say you over fly or radio jam) it will return safely to its launce position and hover using the GPS coordinates remembered.

USER FRIENDLY? YES! but I need total fail safe for that money... DJI is on my watch list 8)

I REALLY wish i could afford a quadcopter and Gopro camera. The youtube videos i have seen taken by these is amazing and so clear! But... $600 to $1,000 is a lot of money for a retired person who has leukemia. Oh but it would be sooo much fun. Wish i knew someone who had one that i could fly. That might be the way to go.

We are too old to be timid and you can afford it. Ok don't climb up on the roof for X-mass lights that's dumb but you ride the streets with 90 year olds down there WhiteNoise  You have chosen US90 on a motorcycle! I know you can do fun and scary stuff in Florida.

We can't be afraid of all the technology and yes it sucks for privacy but its worth it. You still get to choose if you use a drone to entertain yourself with a birds eye view of the planet and marvel at the machines or spy on your neighbors wife through her bedroom window... Jesus sorts that out. But do you want to shy away and let the kids have all the fun? Society will tolerate us with this stuff before they will tolerate the youth so which has more potential for good clean fun. They cringed at the thought of a kid screaming down the sidewalk on a Segway but a grey hair can get away with anything 8)
