Not that I can fully remember how to play now. Been a while since I played Rush. To much scoot riding going on all summer! Who knows, might pick the bass up again this winter. :)

For example: One of the most radically Virtuosic bands currently recording.

All the way to Modern radio rock like a modern progression of 70's and 80's MOR.

Rock still lives. You just have to hunt (Europe) for it.

A song each from Watershed and The Incident are on my play list right now. I listen with in ear monitors for 2 hours a day while commuting on my PCX. 1 each song from 70 different Prog metal bands. All of which I have discovered since 2006. I can't believe I didn't follow Dream Theater more closely when they first came out. They were over my head at the time I guess. Playing this radical shit since 1990 when they were 20 years old.

Holy crap! the guitar riff starting at 6:17 sounds so much like the guitar riff in "Red Sector A" by Rush. Seen Dream Theater a few times now. Awesome musicians!

You think that has flavours of Rush, check out "The Count of Tuscany" from Dream Theater's second from newest album. I find it to be an intentional Homage to Rush. Sadly, this was the last album with their drummer/ producer extraordinaire, Mike Portnoy who wanted a break when they didn't, so they threw him out.

Its extremely unusual to hear anything which sounds completely original these days.
