Hi All,

Just a quick intro I'm based near Leeds(UK), I pick up my new PCX125 on Wednesday It's red they didn't have the Faster white one in stock! £2395 was the best price I could find.

I have a full license and have had some big bikes in the past, this has been bought specifically for my daily commute of 25 miles.

Thanks,

Red is good, who doesn't like red... congratulation on your choice of Honda scooter, did you have any other makes or models in the line up?

I've always liked Honda's, it came down to either a CBF125 or a PCX. They were both exactly the same price but the underseat storage and lack of chain / sprocket maintenance in the winter swayed me towards the PCX. My last commuter bike - a 2008 CG was averaging 89mpg I'm hoping the PCX will top 100mpg(UK gallons!)

Oh it will, there is a guy claiming incredible fuel mileage on the 125. Don't forget the all cowling/fairing design on PCX makes for an easy wipe down, the likes of which only whitenoise and myself can REALLY appreciate. We don't "ride hard and put up wet" Hi-five

Wow - less than £2400 OTD for a new model - that's a steal! Congrats!

The dealer reckoned they were making less than £150 selling at that price, but they are close to a sales target where they get some money back from Honda so were willing to do a deal.

Tis True homey ;) & clean machines go faster, especially in....White! :D < Colgate smiley

Welcome renlik! You will be a Very Happy Camper come Weds! I'm Happy for you :P
Sorry I never took a liking to the original 2011 red, but the red 2013 and on are Apple delicious! (Or is that delicious apple? Eh, whatever!) My Congrats will follow (on Your special day ;) Try to Stay Calm...stop pacing!

It seems that the average OTD price is $4,000, give or take a few bills. Those that walk OTD at $3,800 with extended warranty included is Amazingly good. Would the $200.00 difference stop me from buying? No. However! It was worth a try to offer $3,800. My salesman took it to the store owner, (ya'll know this scenario) and owner said "No, I can't do what other states do. You're OTD is $4,000" (or was it $4,050). Hmm...okay. On delivery day he tossed in a Honda T-shirt. Can I get a Whoop?

Congratulations on the new scooter!! The red ones are really nice, and they are rare: Most PCX in Spain are black or white. You will not believe the fuel consumption of the new scooter... it's almost free to commute on it!

Alrighty, a Double Scoop of Whoop ;) Awesome!! 8) 8)

2yous, Whoop is good. Though...awesome is better :P
Being out of breath? umm, Not Good! :(
However, "Awesomeness" has been known to cause such a symptom.
Are you sure 2yous that you weren't affected by "Overwhelming" Awesomeness?
Prescription: Control thyself. Whoop is goodnuff :D

Excuse my rudeness renlik. :| I (we) get carried away sometimes. It's just a bit of silly haha thrown in the mix. :P

Whilst we wait, may we chat a bit longer renlik?
Anybody ever think of naming their scoot, "My Precious?"
What is that fugly creature in Lord of the Rings anyway? I know it's not Toto!

I'm very giddy about picking scooter up tomorrow - far more exited than a 39 year old father of two should be!

Luckily the weather forecast also looks reasonable for the next few days.

What kind of clothing do you all wear, I've gone for a open face helmet(a first for me) armoured jacket and gloves but plan on just wearing jeans with waterproof over trousers when required.

Reserve an open mind on the helmet. I think if I could do it again I would review for the most quiet full face, you are braving the dental work with the open face. There are two seasons in Chicago land, summer and road work... road work means rock haulers to all my chariots :o we have pot holes big enough to swallow a PCX.

Haha homey yep! potholes a plenty. As of late, I call them mini sinkholes o_O

renlik, dear Daddy of two, please protect thyself the best you can. Start with your face. I Bet it's a nice face, one your kids really love. After this "Very Exciting Day" please consider purchasing and riding with a Full Face or a Modular helmet. Oh, and then While riding...No cheating, Keep that shield snapped down.
Now what will Papa be wearing on his feet? Some sturdy, grippy soled boots that are above the ankle? Or better yet, a designated motorcycle boot? There are many to choose from. You can start by cruising the storefronts of the www dot com to see all the boot choices. Ain't life grand! :P Aren't cha glad you asked?
(psst...armored pants would be a smart addition as well, but we won't go there now, okay? ;)
