Is it worth changing my rear shocks

Having just swapped my old Vespa for a brand new PCX I find the ride very hard and the scoot actually jumps when i encounter some of the potholes we have on UK roads.
I have seen some after market shocks that are available. Will adjustable shocks make a softer ride for me.?
My weight is 190 lbs and I only ride solo.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I have the same problem in London - mostly Brent who ignore the law and let the roads go to ruin (they are supposed, legally, to fix them!). Lots of pot-holes, lots of dips and bumps wherever contractors have done a poor job when digging for gas, electric, etc. I try and avoid all the dips and bumps as much as possible, but in traffic and when vehicles are right behind me, often there's no chance to swerve or slow down a bit and bop - out the seat or thump as the wheel suffers from a dip. I believe the tyres / suspension is not going to last long with these roads.

Yes. Get adjustable ones.

Agreed. My wife's pcx has adjustable shocks, while mine are the original ones. When she rides my bike she tells me how much she hates going over bumps in the road and is glad when we trade back. I am looking forward to when I can afford to replace my shocks with some adjustable ones.
