Sorry if this has already been discussed but I couldn't find any other threads on it.

I have a 2011 pcx and I have to say it has been a godsend. Extremely reliable and has never let me down so far.

However it seems to have one major flaw that drives me crackers and that is water gathering underneath the seat hump which then trickles down when you sit on it. It means that if it has been raining overnight, I have to put waterproofs on, even if it is sunny and no longer raining when I start my commute to work. If I don't the water that has gathered trickles down gives me a wet arse. My waterproof trousers aren't great so they only partially stop the water.

I even have a towel under the seat which i run under the rim of the hump but to no avail. The water still trickles down.

Does anybody have any solutions to this apart from buying a new seat as I cant really afford this at the moment?

Idea 1: Take the hump off and glue patches over the holes.

Idea 2: Givi S210 seat cover

Idea 3: Remove hump, apply large bead of silicone sealant to edge of underside of hump, refit hump, add more sealant as required to edge around hump

Interesting. Does the water stay on top of the vinyl or does it seep thru and soak into the foam? If you arre talking about it sitting on top, I would go with option 2 as well.

There was a write-up on this not long ago. It said to take the hump off and seal around the outter edge of the hump, then install. It talked about using double face tape or silicond if I remember correctly. The water is under the hump and runs out on to your butt when you sit on it.

After trying a few different methods I can finally say the only thing that really worked was sugru self setting rubber, even after a heavy downpour or leaving the bike out all night in the rain, the next day you can be confident of nothing seeping through and giving you a soggy behind.

Its even heat and cold resistant to 180C / -50C, so no melting in the hot sun or cracking on a winter morning.

Application tips : Dont remove the hump and apply a bead of sugru around the perimeter of it, this is what I did initially but it didnt quite work, what to do is make sure the hump is screwed in as tight as possible then with a finger, smear the sugru into the edge like you would if you were grouting some tiles, this ensures a completely watertight seal.

It really makes a difference knowing youre not going to end up with a wet arse.

The PCX seat is more versatile to fit more riders with the seat hump removed and the job can be done at home.

Will it fit the previous model...?
