Does anyone if the rear shocks/springs on the Forza are adjustable to make them firmer or softer?

Yes 5 positions you need a spanner wrench. I have not made the adjustment myself.

Wrench is supplied but you can twist them without it.

The Honda salesman said I may have to unbolt the bottom of the spring to turn it and adjust it though. Can anyone confirm this?

No.
As is often the case with sales staff he's talking shite.
You should just read the .pdf manual.

mine didn't come with a spanner wrench. I looked in the tool pouch. Just a piece to hold your helmet and a screw driver.

...........the rear shocks adjust rather easily. You may be able to do it without that wrench. Wear heavy rubber gloves for a better grip when you twist. Or borrow the wrench from your dealer.
My shocks were set about half way when i got the bike, so i put them at their softest. I did notice a bit of difference.
But when you hit the next pothole, you'll swear it didn't make any difference. Its a scooter. Everything's got tradeoffs.

Yep, people think these Forzas have poor suspension (probably this is their first scooter) ......coming from a smaller Kymco scooter - this Forza rides like a Buick in comparison!
Get the PSI in the tires correct and make some tests with the shock settings and the ride gets pretty decent!

Go do some jumps and report back! :D
(tell you the truth, when I adjust mine on a scoot - I can't either, I think..)
