Problem: feeling ill, bad weather and no garage, but want to work on the scooter
Solution: put it in the living room
Disclamer: Don't try this at home unless you want to become single again ;)

Interesting. I'd have to smile at that choice, but if the wife is ok with it then go for it. We have a daylight basement . the scooters are parked there for the winter and I work on them there, but that isn't the living room.

Actually, it looks like a lovely place to work - effectively no tool clutter, nice light, and man, that wood-stove looks real cozy right now. It is 14F with 5-9 inches of snow predicted for the evening.

My wife would probably be more or less OK with it if I was able to assure her that the job would be DONE in an hour or two, and that there was NO CHANCE of gasoline spilling anywhere. But given my track record about finishing a task in a timely fashion, I would expect some significant resistance.

Hope your repair goes swimmingly!

My scoots are in my basement as well. I have 3 of them down there right now. I am fortunate to have double doors than open into my basement. It's kind of my workshop down there.

That looks like bliss

Lose the pot plant, it's clutter :)

I agree. The PCX is a beautiful work of art.

The trick is, my girlfriend has her own place so I pretty much do as I want in here.
And yes I know the pot plant doesn't look like much, but its my precious lemon grass overwintering inside! :geek:

The job is done. Went to the Honda shop with the rear wheel for a Michel City Grip. And took the opportunity to clean some difficult to reach parts: quite some corrosion from winter salt :( I guess the previous owner didn't clean the scooter very often.

You mind if I make a puzzle out of your picture? If not, I wont.
Love the contrast!

I'll post the link here later to yours.
but here's one of mine:

Best place to service the bike!

Me and my dad rebuilt my first scooters engine on the coffee table

I finally have a garage, so I don't have to work on my bike inside the house anymore.

I used to have to work on it in the house. Luckily, I have a very patient wife. Here's me fixing her scooter in our old house:
