Have any of you purchased 2014 PCX150s yet ?

My dealer said that the regional Honda warehouse hasn't received any 2014s yet. I placed an order for
one a month ago.

Why not just buy one of the many left over 2013's. At a discount. Or one of the many clean used PCX150's that ahve come in with 800 miles. USA price $2500.

Probably the same bike anyway.

The supposed 2014 models would only have a change in colors, and then only in some countries....meaning that we in the USA wouldn't see a 2014 PCX 150.

I have yet to see any legit evidence that a 2014 pcx even exists.

Hi Johnny! Well, I can answer No to your question. I hope the salesman wasn't pulling your leg (as we say round these parts). 2011 and 2013 is all I've seen. Personally, I would love to see a White 2014 roll in tomorrow Time will tell what's wot. Oh, we have a few jesters on the forum, they mean no harm really. Hang around you'll get to know us, no probs

My Honda dealer told me that he was told today that the 2014 PCX150s won't be available until Spring.
I'm looking forward to adjusting to a PCX which does 0-60 mph in about 12 seconds , with a top ACTUAL speed
of 65. My previous ride (a stage 1 kitted Ducati ST4) did 0-60 mph in 3 seconds, with a top speed of 160 mph.
The frustrating part about riding the Ducati (for 10 years): I seldom got a chance to unleash the beast.
I finally concluded that all of that power was of little practical use. Use it very often and you get lots of tickets
(maybe jail) and possible injuries / death. I'm nearly 71 years old, so I think that the PCX will be a lot more
practical and probably a lot of fun.

FWIW: My motorcycle mechanic friend (who "souped up" my Ducati) will take a look at the PCX when I receive it
and see what performance mods might be practical for the PCX. He has a lot of scooter maintenance experience.
My guess is that he'll recommend that I just leave it stock.....which is OK. I would not want to put a lot of money
in a PCX, as the total cost would quickly get into the edge of Forza territory.

I'm saying nowt.

You You, I'm not sure what the word "nowt" means. If you mean that you don't believe it, just look at the
performance specs of modern superbikes. My Ducati was "slow" by those standards.
For example: A Suziki Hayabusa goes 0-60 in about 2.5 seconds, with a top speed above 185 mph. It would be
faster than that, but the top speed is "limited" by Suzuki.

Several superbikes now run quarter miles in under 10 seconds.

A better (and lighter) rider than me could have gotten my Ducati 0-60 time in the high 2s. After all, it had 115 hp
(per dyno tests) with a dry weight of ~ 465 lbs.

Nobody really needs that much speed and power, but it is readily available in today's sport bikes.

Excellent. Stick with it.

I've owned a couple of hyabusas, one of which was turbo'd by jarred frost and had to endure loan ST4s. One was parked in my garage for years for a friend. Not the worst Ducati in the world. But water cooled heads on a mediocre engine on a touring bike. Yuk If you are happy with with what you have said that's cool just not real world. 130mph and I've no idea what the 0-60 was 5 to 6 second. Nippy but not super fast. A long way from it. A very very long way

I doubt that you'd know a Hayabusa from a hay wagon.

Cycle World's test of a stock ST4 had an 11.18 quarter mile, with a top speed of 155. My ST4 was much faster
than stock......Leo Vince carbon cannisters, Fast by Ferracci computer chip, K&N air filter, etc......tuned by a
Ducati mechanic. By the way, Cycle World and other mags raved about the ST4. Their tester said
"Barring the high price, I'd own one of these".

It was simply more bike than I needed.

Blow smoke somewhere else.
