Yes and no.
Yes because its motor oil and will be fine.
No because the numbers are wrong and your hair will fall out and/or you'll get piles from the stress of worrying you've put the wrong oil in.

Even less bc you live in cold climate. 40 is too thick. Granted it probably never gets into Operating temp... So maybe the 5w will compensate?

ha ha ha Run whats recommended. 10w-30

SAE10W30 has a temperature range from -25 to +30°C
SAE 5W40 has a temperature range from -30 to +40°C
In view of temperature range you could use it see chart

Here you can find some Q&A concerning use of oil

Reading this I'm thinking of using SAE-5W-30 the same as I use in my car when my Forza is out of the guaranty period

I found that full synthetic in the recommended SAE works great. However, if you are out of oil and can't get any of the recommended type, jump in your CAR and go find some. 8)

I have run mine on 10W40 car synthetic and it's fine. Done 45000km so far. Now using some Ford spec. 5W30 that I had leftover when I sold my Focus, still running fine!
Oil changed every 8000km / 5000 miles as per the Honda recommended service intervals.
